Happy New Year darlings! May the year 2015 be good to every single one of you.
For most of you who don't know, this dress was sewn. Yup, you heard me, sewn! Big up to my tailor, she's amazing. When I have something in mind, I usually don't stress about finding it readymade. I just design and have someone bring my idea to reality. I got inspired to make this dress because of the lace details attached to the neck and sleeves.

Hayyyyyyyyyy! I know you guys would rather have my head on a plate right now for not publishing any new posts all December. Just got caught up with work and didn't have time for shoots. My apologies, abeg! 2014 is almost over and I'm excited to see what 2015 would bring. This year has been good, I've been so blessed especially towards the end of the year. Thank God for everything.

So for the benefit of everyone who asked how I did it, I decided to do a blog post on
this look I created a while back. I posted pics on Instagram and BBM. This look was actually for a giveaway
competition. I played with these colours as part of the rules of the
game. Yellow, purple, ice blue and shades of pink all on one face. Lol.
So, I'll just give a step by step description of how I created this
look.

Hey guys! I'm so sorry for being away from my blog for a while. Been really busy with work so I couldn't really do shoots. But hey, I'm back in the 'blogger mode'. Lol.
Over time, I have fallen in love with the colour 'mint green'. Its a really pretty pastel shade and suits my skin tone so well. Which is why I couldn't resist this beautiful top when i saw it. I literally yanked it off the racks without thinking twice. We all know the great benefits of the peplum trend, the ladies can testify to this. It does well in hiding your mid-section.. My favourite part on this piece should be the black lace, very sultry. You can go for a chic formal look like I did with a pencil skirt or go a bit casual with a pair of jeans. Accessorized with a black clutch and black ankle strap sandals. I adore these sandals by the way.

Hi guys, how are you all doing. Today's post is a dressed up casual look I did last weekend. My favorite colour is pink and I always find a way to incorporate into my everyday look which is why my go-to lip colours are mostly pink shades. Anyway, I recently purchased this neon pink top on one of my visits to Mr Price.

The beautiful thing about fashion is that you can combine random pieces in your wardrobe to create a very new looking outfit. So, today I paired this blush pink top I've owned for a long time with a bright colourful skirt and blush sandals. I needed to tone down the look with a plain top as the skirt is quite busy. Came across the 'cowrie-inspired' necklace recently and the cheapskate in me leapt for joy..Too cute. I love a good bargain.

Hi guys. Another makeup post has been long overdue. I really like the combination of bright yellow eyes and purple lips.Very playful. This is the first look I created with the MAC Heroine lipstick. Been wanting to purchase it for a while and I'm glad I did. No regrets.
The eyes were mostly achieved using the yellow shades from the House of Tara Margaret Ekpo eyeshadow palette and the Absolute Eighteen Colour Paparazzi palette. My outer-V was the black shade also from the Absolute palette and transition/lower lash line colour was the brown shade from the Sleek Storm palette. Gold Tear duct colour is also from the Sleek Storm palette.
My advice for today: Don't be afraid to play with colours. Come out of your comfort zone and explore. Remember you can get any of these products on BeautyBoon or BeautyKink . See more photos and products used below:

Prints, prints, prints! The leopard print never goes out of style. I've had this blouse for so long that I don't even remember how i acquired it. For this look, 1 paired it with black crop trousers and a black blazer (hardly wore the blazer throughout the shoot though). No extra accessories except my blue quilt handbag and the faux snakeskin shoes. P.S- I love my tight Brandy/box braids.
