Hey honeys! Welcome back to my blog and today I have another makeup tutorial. Now I know we typically don't have fall season in Nigeria but I can't help being inspired by the plum, burgundy and brown shades all over Youtube for fall season right now. So, I decided to recreate mine and I hope you like it. This has been my go-to look in the last couple of weeks.

I rarely post African prints on the blog so I'm very happy to do so today. If you recall I attended the opening of the new Woodin store in Abuja here and the team gifted me a unique fabric. I promised to have it up on the blog once I'm able to sew something, so here I am.

Hey my honeys! Valentine's Day is around the corner and you all know what that means. Time to play DRESS-UP. The good people at SammyDress reached out to me with a gift card and sent me a couple of lovely stuff. The package got to me in a little over three weeks and it was in good condition though I think they could do better in terms of the actual packaging. Their items are very very very affordable (sorry I had to over-emphasize) and their rep was very friendly to me.

At times when I'm worried, anxious or confused, the bible verse above gives me peace of mind. I remind myself that anything you put in the hands of God never gets lost. Many people ask how I keep my sanity together especially with the challenges of having a regular 9-5 job, running this blog and currently planning my wedding. All I can say is that the Lord has been our strength, he has continuously shown himself and blesses us with his favour every now and then. My words for you today: Hold on to God and at the nick of time he will show up for you. Apply this to every area of your life and be in for a wonderful surprise.

I wish my house was pink, my car would be pink, my life pink. Okay I'm just kidding but you get my drift.

So a while ago my dad was away for a whole month and trust him to return with a goodie or two. This pretty dress was my gift from him and I like that it is not the usual dashiki style in tops and straight dresses. I've worn this casually but I thought to dress it up a bit. I figured this will go well with an edgy pair of shoes so I opted for these caged heels and a vintage mini-bag. I took these photos myself! Yippie!

This beautiful dress was made for me by my seamstress and I fell in love at first sight. I bet you didn't know it was tailor made right? Yup. So did everyone who sighted me wearing it. My aim was to recreate this ASOS dress HERE and I think we did well making a dupe. I knew I had to wear it to a wedding first so I did so last weekend. Its a pretty combo of lace and chiffon plus the lovely colour especially on my skintone is simply amazing. You know you can always put your left over lace materials to good use no matter how small it is. Take a cue from this.

I'm now engaged to be married to my best friend and love of my life. The whole week has been so surreal, trust me, you are never truly prepared for it. What's not to love about summer? Best part is wearing exciting colourful clothing. Midi skirts are very much in high demand this season and better still floral prints are selling out fast. This skirt is made with a very light silk-like material.. It is currently sold out but you know I've got you covered by hooking you up with something similar (check links below).

I have been itching to do this post. If you are into Youtube makeup videos and you don't know Missy Lynn a.k.a Start2FinishMUA, then my darling I must ask 'WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN'? I've been subscribed to Missy Lynn's channel for a while now and she is a cute black American who is in the military and is also a beauty guru. Some months ago, she teamed up with BH Cosmetics to create her own eyeshadow/highlighter palette and its been selling out fast.

ITS MY BIRTHDAY!

I feel like so many of us say the same thing on our birthdays but really what is more important to say than THANK YOU GOD! I'm thankful for the gift of life itself, for being alive up until this very moment. For all my experiences in the last twenty six years (I can't believe its been that long and yea I'm not one to hide my age). For the gift of family and loved ones. For good health of mind and of body. For everything. I am so thankful.

I've been so busy revamping and pairing old pieces in my closet. I must say its been quite refreshing. This playsuit is one of my favourite 'easy to wear' pieces. Today, I dressed it up with a sky blue blazer and playful coral heels. Perfect for a night out. I had to go for a pixie cut hairstyle as the HEAT in Nigeria is totally ridiculous. Hey guys! This outfit combination gives me a feeling of fusing Western and African cultures. Denim and ankara can be styled in so many ways and this is just one of them. This is a fun, edgy and chic look and you can easily turn any ankara skirt into an awesome fashion item.

Most times when I have an event or outing at night, I go for one particular look. Champagne gold eyes and bright red lips. It always works for me, its really simple and I'm sure it would look good on just about anyone. I also used dramatic lashes to achieve a 'wow' effect. Being that Valentine's Day is a few days away, this would be perfect for date night with that special one.
